The Dance

This poem is my first one. I wrote it after studying poetry in my English 30 class.

The Dance

I fall in time
To musicians of the past
This girl at my side
But that is not to last
Now she is young
Forever captured in time
My body too is young
But there is wisdom in my eyes
As if we were one
She follows my lead
Gracefully she is spun
Returns, finding a home in the beat
Long ago her song did end
She dances here to the beat in my chest
A home she’s found for sixty years
The beat is slower now
Keeping in time together
We take our final bow
But still we dance forever
In a single moment
For eternity

Welcome to my new website

Welcome and thank you for checking out my page. Please feel free to roam around the site, check out my pictures, see what books I have available, leave comments and/or testimonials. I'd love to hear what you all think. If you have an interest in sci-fi or supernatural or you know someone who does, you have come to the right place; perhaps my books will make a good fit.

I have a deep love for time travel and have published two books that center around that subject - Time's Hostage and Fly on the Wall - as well as several short stories, which are yet to be published but it is a hope of mine to get them published in a short story collection soon. My second novel deals with the inhabitants of a far off planet and how they deal with the discovery of a strange "star traveler." I always have fun writing time travel as I have been in love with it since I was a kid and watched Back to the Future but The Arrival was a fun book to write as it was completely different from anything I had written in the past and it gave me the opportunity to create an entirely new world. Creating new worlds or alternate dimentions is a fun part of writing for me. In my fourth novel - Powerless - I had the chance to recreate the world we live in and populate it with enhanced human beings, imagining how different our world would be if everyone had powers and what would it be like for those who lost their abilities or had them taken away. As much as I enjoy science fiction and time travel, one thing I enjoy most is doing something different. I don't want to be stuck in one particular genre or subject matter. I already have two time travel stories and though they are completely different from each other, I would like to explore the subject again however I need to do other things and tell other stories as well. My newest novel - The Other Secret - deals with no time travel, interplanetary travel, superheroes, ghosts or any other form of science fiction. It is a thriller based in modern times and the villain is flesh and blood human. The concept of writing in the real world appealed to me so much I am playing around with another idea which takes place in the real world.

If you enjoy your visit, enjoy my books, or just want to know which events I'll be appearing, check the site often, tell your friends, and share the page on social media.

Thank you,
